Here is an article I thought was interesting. It's in regards to Mary Magdalene being Jesus's wife. I know it isn't exactly a witchy article, but it is in a lot of ways very fasinating. It also makes a lot of sense. www.orderwhitemoon.org/goddess/Magdalene.html

Yesterday I wrote a response that was witty intelligent and insightful- you'll have to take my word for it because it flew into cyberspace because I'm not exactly used to my new laptop. But I DID want to say there were some glaring errors in the authors quotations of the Magdelane Gnostic Texts, including "the Christ kissed her on the lips". The word lips is not there, so we don't know exactly where he kissed her, or in fact who he kissed, because the name was missing too. (But the author acknowledged that.) Also, in the same paragraph, the disciples asked why Christ loved her best out of the disciples, not out of "women" as the author stated. The only reason I'm saying anything is that if there were such errors that I, who freely admits to not being educated on these things, was aware, then what else is wrong that I didn't notice? It sounded much more coherent yesterday- I swear.

While I have read the Bible, I'm no scholar nor have I spent hours researching this. However, I do think that this concept of Mary Magdalene relocating to central Europe is a bit hard to accept. The idea was never in anyones head until the book Di Vinci's Code came out. Now I did clip this from Wikipedia; The Eastern Orthodox Church maintains that the saint retired to Ephesus with the Blessed Virgin and there died, that her relics were transferred to Constantinople in 886 and are there preserved. Gregory of Tours (De miraculis, I, xxx) supports the tradition that she retired to Ephesus with no mention of any connection to Gaul. I have not read Di Vinci's code either. It may well be good fiction, but not my kind of book. (if pressed, I may scan Cole's note on it though)

Actually the first time I come across this idea was in a book called the holy blood and the holy grail, I cannot remember who the author was, this was some years ago and according to the author this was written in the dead sea scrolls, he claimed that there were two children who were started a blood line to the Scottish royal family.

That sounds like 'Laurence Gardner' B, he also wrote, Bloodline of the Holy Grail, Genesis of the Grail Kings, Realm of the Ring Lords andLost secrets of the Sacred Ark..... It's been a a while since i read this post, will have to reread it.... ;D

I think all the Da Vinci code did was restate alot of the premises of "Holy Blood, Holy Grail", which I admit I did like, however I was painfully aware that they started with a unproved supposition and kept building on it without doing very much to prove their facts. This led to reviewrs just ripping them to pieces, which was, I felt, a little uncalled for.
