I had a dream last night but I am thinking it was more of a visit. I think my Dad came and got me. I mean in astral form. Its all so strange...
It was my Dad but he didnt look like he did when he died. He was younger...but it was him. He was telling me that he was standing at the door between two doors. Also he was telling me that someone that I knew was a man not a woman and that they were a demon. So this person or demon came to me with dad sitting there talking to me and they were so close I could see the wetness of their eyes and that demon said yes I am a MAN. The demon had on a green flowing dress kinda thing. My dad was dressed in a robe type outfit but he had on a black suit under it. Looked very professional. The robe type thing was black. He and I talked about other stuff too..but cant remember what we talked about. I think it was just general type stuff.
So what does it mean that he was standing between two worlds? He said he was the keeper of the door.

AM, Below is a spell that can easily be adapted for you to meditate with your father and maybe get a bit more information. Since Samhain is so close, try to call him throught the Western gate.
Samhain Spell Remembering those who’ve gone (This wasn’t written by me, it’s by a local witch here in Scotland, Chris Quick)
Items needed:
1 natural candle 1 blue candle 1 stone/pebble or bit of amethyst or quartz for each person you’d want to honour. 1 glass red wine (or similar for you underage folk)
Cast your circle or create your sacred space, as normal. Light the two candles and place them at the west point of your circle, forming a doorway by which spirit may enter if they choose. Take one stone (crystal, or whatever you’ve chosen), close your eyes and remember all the good things about that person- the things that make you laugh, smile or cry. Then when you have remembered the things that you wanted to, simply state something like “If you are able, please come and sit with me (Name).” Then place the stone with the candles. Lift your glass and toast them, then take a drink. Continue until all the people that you wished to remember have been honoured. You may get the feeling that one is present, a few, or all if you’re lucky. Let them come, should they want to. When you have sat for enough time and all is done (you may want to do a divination, since being Samhain it’s bound to be a powerful one) then simply pick up each stone in turn and say something like “ (name) thank you for your time, and I bid you hail and farewell.” And when all have been thanked, then close down your circle and keep those stones or crystals on your alter.

This time of year, too, the veil between the spiritual world and our world is thin. It's a great time to talk to those who have passed. It is possible he is the guardian to that door for you? He could also mean he is trying to protect you by guarding the door for you. Sounds like he is there protecting you at any rate. Trust in him and he will keep you safe always.

Also Mel, he may be there to offer you some knowledge, as keepers of doors are like keys and this being so can hold knowledge....Not quite sure about the demon thing, apart from that someone could be something they are not, and you are not seeing them as their true selves, that someone could be deceaving you?...V..xx..

There seems more to this. Let me meditate on it for a couple of days and I will get back to you. However, I don't think you should believe that the being is your dad, it may be another masking itself to gain your trust. We shall endeavor to find out.

Tkite, if I could, I would give you my karma points, I have no need of them.
We sometimes use strangers to symbolize a real person in our life, in order to represent a issue or a problem brewing within us. We also use known figures as symbols for festering problems. Sometiems symbols of resolution, or the solution.... sometimes the source of the problem.
I think you find yourself standing between two paths. It may not even be something outward or that you are conscious of. Look inside Mel, what battle may be taking place?
