If anyone feels that this is in the wrong place, go ahead and move it. I was debating whether it belonged here, in humour or in current events. Breaking news, the Vatican has enacted a papal bull announcing their intent to enforce a copyright on all Papal speeches, homilies and documents for all past, present and future Popes. This edict was apparently anounced quietly at an Italian book synposium of some sort, and a staggering bill of £10,000 was sent to an Italian puplisher from the Libreria Editrice Vaticana- the Vatican Publishing House. So, in a nutshell. The infallible voice of the Church who speaks as the official voice of God on Earth with the help if the Divine assistance promised to him by the apostle Peter is available for all- at a price. This tickles me on all kinds of levels....

Sounds about right after all the riches organisation in the world has to maintain it's income.
