You often read or hear about the spells that someone wants or would do, but i was wondering what spells you would not do or ask for....

Hmm, that's a toughy. I tend not to ask for spells in general. I wouldn't do spells for others that went against my morals. That's really about it, sorry the answer is so general but it's a catch all that (I hope) keeps me on the straight and narrow.

That is an interesting one V I have a set of guidelines that I generally work to but in the passed I have gone through some interesting times and you change your view when those close to you are at risk. If crunch comes to shove I will do what I have to do to protect my own.

For me, there is no restrictions on what to do or not to do other than how it affects the balance.
I see no difference between good or evil in casting. For example, to injure someone or take a life, is generally seen as a bad thing. But if that individual was Osama Bin Ladin, the vast majority of the Western world would view it as a good thing.
However, such an undertaking would have a significant negative effect on the balance and would result in a similar effect to the positive. The trick is for the caster to control both sides of the balance. If you increase the positive you need to find an acceptable way to increase the negative. If you don't, it will find a balance on it's own with unpredictable results. As Brandra might say, thats the science of the thing.

Interesting point, Watershield.
I use to see things as "Good" and "evil," but through my learning, I am more seeing things balance also. It is not so much as good and evil, but balance. One cannot constantly ask for good and not upset the balance. Like you said, we have to control both sides of the balance.
We live, therefore we must die, otherwise the world we live in would not support the population within a very short period of time. There are good parts to our character and evil parts. That is the nature of the beast, or like you and Branda say the sciene of the thing.
Excellent post.
